Individual wooden cottages built and furnished in 18th century Dominican architectural style. Each consisting of one bedroom, bathroom, living/dining area, full frontal verandah, kitchen unit, telephone, ceiling fans - all the modern conveniences. Available within easy reach are the Cabrits National park, the historic ruins of Fort Shirley, rowing up the Indian River, hiking into the virgin forests, bird-watching and river bathing. on acres of an old coconut plantation directly on Dominica's longest beach and in a garden of flowering tropical shrubs are our 18th century Dominican style rustic cottages. Each cottage features a private verandah, kitchen unit, living/dining area, bathroom, bedroom and all modern conveniences. Le Flambeau restaurant and beach bar at the Portsmouth Hotel just a few steps away serve local, international cuisine as well as a variety of refreshing tropical drinks |

November 9th 2005 Picard beach is home away from home, neat, clean and offered every amenity. The fresh flowers and fruits were very thoughtful. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating. The people are so friendly and gracious. It was kind of you all to share your island with us.
